Olympic champion Ekaterina Bobrova wished the figure skater recovery Annabelle Morozova who was injured during the warm-up of the Russian Grand Prix stage in Krasnoyarsk.
Morozov, who was dancing on ice with Igor Eremenko, was injured following a collision with her opponents. During the warm-up, Elizaveta Shanaeva touched Annabelle’s leg with her skate and cut it; the athlete received several stitches. As a result, Morozov and Eremenko withdrew from the Russian Grand Prix stage after the rhythm dance.
— We wish Annabelle health and a speedy recovery. It’s a shame they couldn’t access the free program. She is very beautiful, I wanted to see her again. I really hope they get two full stages. Let’s see if they get the opportunity. At least for a new couple, so that they have experience,” Bobrova said as quoted by “Championship”.
The fourth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix of the 2023/24 season will be held in Kazan from November 8 to 12.
