Elizaveta Osokina performing in duo with Artem Gritsaenko told how her training in a duo went after leaving singles skating, and also named her main goal for the season.
The Osokina/Gritsaenko duo won silver at the recent stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk. Previously, they won the Fed Cup and became winners of the All-Russian competitions for the 2022/23 season.
In single skating, Osokina is the winner of the senior Russian championship, as well as the winner of the Russian Cup stages in 2019-2020. The athlete changed her skating from singles to pairs skating in 2021.
— Which paired elements were the most difficult?
– Support.
— How did the change of coach and city affect you?
— At first, it was difficult in terms of moving. Another city and another setting. Everything about my studies remains exactly the same, I study online. Everything went well with the technical staff straight away, they supported me. There is a warm atmosphere in Perm, I like it here.
— This is your first time participating in skate tests as a guy. Was it exciting?
— There is always excitement, somewhere a little more, somewhere less. I was happy that we performed well and showed the skates what we had learned and worked on. Now we are improving the results.
— What objectives have been set for this season?
— Good performance at the Russian Championship.
—Have you tried doing a quadruple twist? Will you play it in competitions?
