Ngannou: I want a rematch with Fury if Usyk steps aside

The Cameroonian intends to hold two more fights in 2024

Former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou said he would like a rematch with the WBC title holder Tyson Furyif the Ukrainian allows it Alexander Usik.

“A rematch is what I want most. I feel like I have a lot of options, but I want to make the wise choice and go for the rematch first.”

“My best case scenario in boxing is to wait for Fury. If Usyk can step aside and let me fight Fury, I will fight Fury. Then I will let them do whatever they have planned.”

“I’ll probably have a few MMA fights and also meet some boxers. “I’m planning on having two fights next year, possibly starting in February or March.”

“I will not appeal the Fury fight. Who should I contact, the WBC? I have no chances. I think it’s just another way of humiliation.”

Fury later defeated Ngannou to win the Riyadh title. The fight, according to boxing rules, lasted all the allotted 10 rounds, as a result of which two judges gave the victory to Fury, one to Ngannou. In the third round, Francis knocked down Tyson, but the Briton managed to return to the fight.

In the next fight, the “Gypsy King” will face Alexander Usik in the ring. According to the latest information, the long-awaited fight will take place in Riyadh in February 2024. The fight was scheduled for December 23, but the Briton will not have time to prepare by this time. It is reported that Fury suffered two cuts in his last fight with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
