A Ukrainian karateka will put up for auction a bronze award won in Tokyo 2020.

Stanislav Goruna decided to auction his bronze medal won at the 2020 Olympics on eBay. Note that the award of Ukrainian karateka is very rare.

This is because, in Tokyo, karate was included in the Olympics for the first time, but there was no more competition in this sport again in the next Games.

The starting price of the lot is 10 thousand dollars. The 33-year-old athlete will donate all proceeds from the sale to help the Ukrainian army fight Putin’s occupiers.

Bidding has already started and will last until April 6. Those wishing to purchase the Goruna Olympic medal should follow the link.

“Good afternoon. We are from Ukraine, and there is a war in Ukraine. We were attacked by the Russian army on the orders of the President of the Russian Federation. There were thousands killed and tens of thousands injured. Millions homeless the people. But our army was heroically fighting and recaptured our homeland from the enemy.

My Olympic medal is the most important of the over 200 medals I have received in my 19 years of racing. It symbolizes all the work I have done in the gym and competitions. Symbolizes every victory won on the way to the Olympics.

I want to auction it off and support my people during this difficult time. Now nothing is more important than Ukraine, ”Goruna said about the reasons for his decision.
