The Ukrainian national hockey team has named its roster for a friendly tournament in Hungary

In Budapest, the blue-yellows will play with Hungary, Slovenia and Italy

Head coach Ukrainian national hockey team Dmitry Khristich named the team composition for Tamás Sarkozy memorial, which will take place in Budapest. The list included 23 hockey players – two goalies, eight defensemen and 13 forwards.

The Ukrainian national team will go to a training camp in Hungary on November 5. The blue-and-yellows will play three matches from November 9 to 11. The Ukrainians’ rivals will be the national teams of Hungary, Slovenia and Italy. They all play in the 1A division.

Let us remember that a year ago the Ukrainian team won bronze medals at the Charkozy Memorial, beating Hungary in the match for third place.

The Ukrainian national hockey team plays in division IB. In 2024, the blue-yellows will play against Estonia, China, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Spain in the world championship.

In addition, the blue-yellows will start qualifying for the 2026 Olympic Games in February next year. Two of our team’s three opponents in Group J of the third round are already known – the national teams of South Korea and Poland.
