Athletistic/ Figure Skating. USSR Honored Figure Skating Coach Tatyana Tarasova believes that 2018 Olympic women’s singles champion Alina Zagitova can return to performing at the professional level.
“It seems to me that Zagitova can really come back to professional sports. Alina has a coach. If her coach believes in her, then she will come back. The coach sees her every day and can say whether she will skate or not, whether she is in good condition or bad.” – said Tarasova.
Alina Zagitova announced the suspension of her sports career in December 2019. Since then, she has not participated in any figure skating competitions, but she has not made an official statement about the end of professional performances. Zagitova is part of Eteri Tutberidze’s coaching group.
