Medvedeva admitted that she did not expect such a harsh reaction.
“A bacchanal began in the comments. Either they really like it, or they hate it. Because of this, it started in my direction, someone threw mud at me, someone congratulated,” Medvedeva said, as quoted by Lenta.ru.
Medvedeva is a silver medalist at the 2018 Olympics, where she lost the fight for gold to compatriot Alina Zagitova. In recent years, the figure skater has not competed. Medvedeva appears in various TV shows and projects.
Currently, Russian figure skaters are suspended from international tournaments.
