The Rivne club also donated two cars to Ukrainian soldiers
Veres will name the new stadium of the club academy in honor of the Hero of Ukraine Dmitry “Da Vinci” Kotsyubailo. The president of the Rivne club, Ivan Nadein, spoke about this during a break in the match with Zarya (2:2).
“We voiced to the club’s shareholders the idea of naming the stadium at the club’s training base after the Hero of Ukraine Dmitry Kotsyubailo. This is a man who was a volunteer and fought against the occupiers for nine years. We believe that children should be brought up with the names of such heroes.”
“This is a war not only for our land and independence. This is also a war for our children and grandchildren. Children who will study and play at this Veres Academy stadium will play in the arena, which will be named after Dmitry “Da Vinci” Kotsyubailo,” Nadein said.
Also, the club, together with the Rivne city council, donated two cars to Ukrainian soldiers. One will go to the location of the 457th separate infantry battalion, where Rivne soldiers serve. The second is to the separate assault battalion “Da Vinci Wolves”, soldiers of the “Gonor” company, where Rivne ultras also serve.
In the early hours of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has continued for the 621st day.
