Krivbass remains at the top of the standings
Head coach Krivbassa Yuri Vernidub considers the draw result of the match with Polesie (1:1) in the 13th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“I think both Krivbass and Polesie gained one point. There were moments for both one and the other team. The teams have just entered the UPL from the First League, are showing good football and want to achieve more. They challenged our giants: Dynamo, Shakhtar, Dnepr-1.”
“In the first half we were better, but in the second half we only failed in the opening 15 minutes: we conceded a goal. Then we calmed down and leveled out the game. There were few chances at both goals. But my guys had the desire, they moved forward and showed good football.”
“During the break, I wanted to strengthen the center of the field, because we were starting to lose in this zone, and were sagging somewhere.” I decided to replace Debelko and Ilic with fresh players: Prikhodko and Tatarkov came out.”
“Leadership is what it is… So far, only 13 rounds have been played. When we are there after the end of the championship, then we can talk about something.”
“We really want this and we are fighting for it. We play match by match. “I am very grateful to FC Krivbass and all the club’s employees, and not just my guys, for doing everything for the team to go to matches, play and score points.”
“Sergei Stanislavovich Rebrov was here, he knows which of the players he liked. He will answer this question better.”
Krivbass opened the scoring in the first half thanks to a goal from Denis Kuzyk. Shortly after the break, Polesie equalized the score, with substitute Artem Kozak scoring.
Krivbass remains at the top of the UPL standings. The Vernidub team scored 27 points and is ahead of Dnepr-1 in terms of additional indicators. In the next match, Krivbass will play against Dynamo at home on November 12.
