Beindl, Yastremskaya and Zavatskaya lost positions, progress of Snigur and Starodubtseva
Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) published a new rating. The strongest Ukrainian tennis players retained their places.
Elina Svitolina remained in 25th position. Angelina Kalinina continues to occupy 27th place, the places in the top 40 of Lesya Tsurenko (31) and Marta Kostyuk (39) remained unchanged.
Katerina Beindl dropped 12 places and is now at the very end of the top 100. Dayana Yastremskaya and Katarina Zavatskaya lost their positions in the second hundred. But serious progress (+12 each) was shown by Daria Snigur, who won the tournament in Glasgow at the end of October, and updated Yulia Starodubtseva’s own record.
The main change in the top 10 is the previously announced return to the top of Iga Swiatek. The Polish tennis player won the Final Tournament for the first time in her career, and earlier beat Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals, thanks to which she displaced her from first place in the rankings.
