“We are forced to inform you that due to the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, FC Victoria will not participate in the new football season. The relevant decision was made today by the club’s management.”
“The main reason for this decision is the inability to ensure a safe training and competitive process on the territory of the Sumy region, which is daily subjected to artillery shelling from the territory of the aggressor country.”
“The same decision has been made for Alliance FC, which has merged with Victoria FC under the same brand this season.”
According to Sport Arena, the Linden Valley Alliance planned to change its name to Victoria. In the championship of Ukraine of the 2021/2022 season in the First League, which was underplayed due to the large-scale military aggression of Russia, the Alliance finished in third place. Victoria in Group “B” of the Second Division was the tenth.
New championships at the PFL level should start at the end of August or at the beginning of September.
