Russian figure skater Yegor Rukhin during a conversation with , he responded to a question about his personal life, saying that he now focuses solely on performances on the ice.
Rukhin missed the 2022/23 season almost entirely due to coronavirus and a long recovery. In July, the 19-year-old skater told that he was training in the group of Alexei Vasilevsky and Yulia Lavrenchuk. At the second stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Omsk, Rukhin took 10th place (199.56 points), and at the third stage of the series in Krasnoyarsk he became sixth (207.89).

Rukhin is a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship.
