Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit submitted his resignation from his position in the Cabinet of Ministers.
In the near future, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plan to consider this petition from Gutzeit, as announced by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
It was reported that Gutzeit’s dismissal was announced by Golos deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak and the head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia. At the same time, the deputies have not yet identified the candidacy of the new minister.
Gutzeit has served as Minister of Youth and Sports since March 2020. In the ministry, the 1992 Barcelona Olympic champion replaced Vladimir Borodyansky.
In November 2022, Gutzeit was elected as the new president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. He received more than 80% of the votes. The official stated that if he wins the presidential election, the NOC will leave his post in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which he has held since March 2020.
