Ex-forward Zari Owusu will become a Vorskla player – TaToTake

The Ghanaian footballer has already played in the UPL under the leadership of Skripnik

According to TaToTake, the Ghanaian striker Raymond Frimpong Owusupreviously played for Lugansk Dawnwill continue his career in Poltava Vorskla.

Owusu is 21 years old. He moved to Zorya in the spring of 2021, signing a two-year contract. He managed to play 20 matches for the Lugansk team, scoring 4 goals. Zarya at that time was coached by Viktor Skripnik, the current coach of Vorskla.

In the spring of 2022, after the invasion of the Russian Federation army into Ukraine, the Ghanaian was in the training camp of Borussia Dortmund. He then received the status of a free agent and in August became a player for the Turkish Istanbulspor.

Owusu appeared for the first team of the Istanbul club only once (for half an hour against Besiktas). At the same time, in the 2022/23 season he played 18 matches for the youth team and scored 9 goals. Since the summer of 2023, he has been without a club.

Reportedly, the striker from Ghana is already at Vorskla’s location.

The Poltava team scored 15 points in the UPL after 13 rounds and are in tenth place. Skripnik’s team has not won the championship since September. On November 11, Vorskla will play away against Obolon, which it recently (November 2) defeated in the quarter finals of the Ukrainian Cup.
