Athletistic / Figure skating. Olympic speed skating champion Svetlana Zhurova shared her opinion on the return to everyday life of former figure skater Roman Kostomarov. On January 10, he was hospitalized with pneumonia. Later, due to complications, his feet and some fingers were amputated.

The skater spent six months in hospital. He was in critical condition. Later, he was fitted with prosthetics and Kostomarov gradually returned to normal life. He recently admitted that he wants to skate again.

Kostomarov: “It’s difficult to handle the refrigerator door or a spoon”

“I never doubted for a second that Roman would not give up and continue his socially active life. He is a very positive guy, always smiling, easy to get along with in life. It would be great if he actually went on ice to skate in. I will be very happy if he finds a way to do that.

Regardless, I think he could be a great coach or program director. He can be a speaker and inspire people because Roman lived through this absolutely incredible time, and the fact that he was able to come back to life shows how strong he is. This must be shared. I believe in him,” RIA Novosti quotes Jourova.
