Athletistic/Figure skating. Katarina Gerboldt, Russian junior champion born in 2008, shared with Match TV her opinion on how figure skater Kamila Valieva perceives the current process before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in relation to the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing .

The hearings in the Valieva case before the CAS resumed on November 9.

“It is difficult to say that Camila is already accustomed to legal proceedings. But this process has lasted, so, in my opinion, she treats the situation with less emotion than at the Olympics and immediately after. We can say that this process can strengthen I can’t say for sure, but it seems to me that she adapted to the situation. I hope and believe that in Kazan she will demonstrate ultra-complex elements: triple Axel and quadruple jump. But that’s a question for a lot depends on how Camila trains and how she feels. A lot depends on these factors.

As for his programs, I really liked the short one. I haven’t fully understood the free program yet. We will have to keep an eye on his performances throughout the season. But the short program seemed very cool to me,” Gerboldt noted in an interview with Match TV.

  • Valieva will speak again to the CAS judges on the eve of the Russian Grand Prix in Kazan
