Shevchenko considers Kylian one of the best in terms of working with the ball

Ex-forward Dynamo And Milanand former head coach Ukrainian national team And Genoa Andrey Shevchenko said that he admires the play of the striker of PSG and the French national team Kylian Mbappe.

“I know who I like to watch. Of the strikers who are currently performing at a high level, I really like Kylian Mbappe.”

“I like that he is always on the lookout, he watches the game, he watches his opponent and looks for his chance. He is very fast, but what makes him effective is the quality of his movement, the fact that he can go left or right and can kick with either foot when he has the opportunity.”

Let us remember that Shevchenko played for Dynamo (1994 – 1999, 2009 – 2012), Milan, Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team. He won the Champions League and Serie A and won the Ballon d’Or (2004).

Mbappe has been playing for PSG since the 2017/2018 season. Together with the team, the footballer became the winner of the French Championship six times, the French Cup winner three times, the French League Cup champion twice, and the French Super Cup winner three times.

Last offseason, PSG management put Kylian up for transfer due to contract uncertainty. Mbappe was ruled out of the team’s pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea.

In mid-August, the forward returned to training with the club. In the summer of 2024, Kylian’s contract with the Parisian club expires, after which Mbappe can move to any club on a free basis.

This season, Kylian has scored 12 goals and provided one assist in 14 matches for the Parisians in all competitions.

PSG is in second place in the Ligue 1 standings.
