The Ukrainian will get another chance
Head coach of Real Madrid Carlo Anchelotti confirmed that the Ukrainian goalkeeper will appear in the next Blancos match Andrey Lunin.
“When Kepa played he did very well and when Lunin was used he did very well. Any unpleasant situation can happen to anyone, and then a replacement must be ready for him.”
“Fran will be the second goalkeeper tomorrow. We are very confident in him.”
Kepa, 29, has a small tear in his abductor muscle. In Real’s last match with Braga (3:0), which took place in the group stage of the Champions League, Ukrainian Andrey Lunin came on instead of Arrizabalaga and kept the goal intact, while saving a penalty.
In total, Lunin played three matches this season. The Ukrainian spent two of them to zero.
Real Madrid are in second place in La Liga. Tomorrow, November 11, Ancelotti’s team will play against Valencia.
