Skiers Terentyev and Kirillova won the sprint at the Khanty-Mansiysk competitions

Olympic medalist Alexander Terentiev representing the Arkhangelsk region, won the classic sprint at the competitions in Khanty-Mansiysk.

In the final, he covered the distance in 3 minutes and 30.45 seconds. Savely Korostelev (Arkhangelsk region) took second place, losing 2.2 seconds to the winner. Denis Filimonov (Republic of Tatarstan) came third, 3.92 seconds behind.

Among women, Anastasia Kirillova from Khanty-Mansiysk won with a result of 4 minutes and 1.4 seconds. Second was Anastasia Faleeva, who represents St. Petersburg, losing first place by just 0.37 seconds. Third place went to Alena Baranova (Moscow/Tomsk region), who lost 5.6 seconds to the leader.

Olympic cross-country skiing champion Veronika Stepanova did not start the qualifying sprint race.
