Taloverov: I’m very glad that I managed to score a turning point for the team

The Ukrainian’s LASK won their first victory in Group E of the Europa League

Ukrainian defender LASKA Maxim Taloverov spoke about his debut goal for the Austrian team in the match with Union (3:0) in Group E Europa League 2023/24.

“Yes, the emotions are, of course, special. But I don’t know whether they will believe me or not, but I’m much happier that we finally managed to win. Because if you look at the Europa League group table, it becomes clear that we needed this victory more than ever. I am very glad that I managed to score the second goal in the match, which became a turning point in favor of my team and made things easier for us in the second half.”

“In general, the emotions from a goal are definitely irresistible, just like from every goal. So far, unfortunately, I have not scored in the championship or the Austrian Cup, but I will work hard and believe that I will soon do it there too.”

“I joined her in the summer already 100% adapted. But rather, we as a team are still going through a period of adaptation to a new style and new tactics. Although in any case we are already close to the final phase of this formation. People who understand football understand perfectly well that in one or two months it is very difficult to completely rebuild the style of a team. I believe that we are getting better and growing with every game. Of course, this is not the limit yet, but there are signs that we are on the right track.”

The Ukrainian scored at the end of the first half of the meeting with Union. The goal was the second for LASK; the Austrian team eventually defeated the opponent and won their first victory in Group E of the 2023/24 Europa League.

Taloverov has a contract with Slavia Prague and plays for LASK on loan. The Ukrainian played 14 matches for the Austrian club.

LASK is in last place in Group E of the Europa League with 3 points. In the next round, the Ukrainian team will play away against Liverpool on November 30.
