Skater Gallyamov: “My hip-hop track will be jointly with a popular artist”

Olympic figure skating champion Alexander Galliamov told that his hip-hop song would be recorded with a popular artist and the beat would be written by a high-ranking person in the hip-hop world.

Earlier, reported that Gallyamov plans to record a song in hip-hop style. Currently, the athlete is negotiating with two Russian labels that will contribute to the production of the composition. Gallyamov is a big fan of the genre.

— The song will really be in the hip-hop genre, because this genre is closest to me. We spoke with two famous labels. I can say that it will be a joint track with a popular artist; the beatmaker could be a high-ranking person in the hip-hop world.

— Would you call Slava Marlow a beatmaker?

— There are some interesting ideas, for the moment they are primary projects.

— Do you already have the lyrics to the song?

— Just sketches for now, you have to try to read at pace. I tried it with type beat, but I didn’t really like it. You must try it with professionals in the studio.

— Which rappers do you like?

— I listened to Obladaet’s new album — Players Club 2. I know he can do better. This album included many of the singles he had released before the album, but it was still a pretty solid album. I also recently listened to Crispy’s album, Deep Inside. I liked it better than Pussykiller’s DirtyAngel album. In Dirty Angel, I didn’t understand the mixing, it was absolutely inaudible. I attended his concerts, so it’s a shame for this album.

This year I would mention Pharaoh’s Phrequency album, very interesting mixtapes, notably with Loc-Dog. Loc‑Dog recorded an album with Pharaoh’s rhythms. At my age, people don’t really listen to that, but I was still interested. Pharaoh and Loc‑Dog try to combine their generations, and it turns out really cool.

— Did Pharaoh change Russian rap?

– Of course, it has changed and continues to change. It always looks very stylish, fresh and colorful. I always really want to listen to Pharaon and come to the concert.

— Have you attended Pharaon’s concerts?

— When I was at the Russian Grand Prix in Omsk, he gave a concert during the free program. It was a shame, I really wanted to get there. And I attended at least three of his concerts. In the spring there were concerts in stadiums and I was in Yubileiny,” Gallyamov told .
