The Egnatia forward lost consciousness on the field in a meeting with Partizani and died
Ghanaian striker Rafael Dwamena died during Egnatia’s match with Partizani in Albanian Super League.
The forward fell to the ground in the first half of the match. Doctors immediately ran out to the football player to provide first aid, and then the player was taken to the hospital. Raphael died without regaining consciousness.
28-year-old Dwamena previously played for Zaragoza, Levante, Zurich, and in January 2023 he moved to Egnatia. Shakhtar was once interested in the forward. Rafael played 8 matches for the Ghana national team, in which he scored two goals.
The match between Egnatia and Partizani was interrupted in the middle of the first half with the score 1:1. Later, the teams will determine the fate of the match.
