The CAS concluded the hearings in the Valieva case on November 10. His doping test, carried out during the Russian Championships in December 2021, came back positive for trimetazidine. This information became known only after the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, where the athlete won gold.
The final decision of the CAS on this issue will be rendered in January 2024.
