Prometheus defeated Neftekhimik in the final match of the second stage of qualifying for the Volleyball Champions League

The Ukrainian team took third place in the qualifying group, but did not make it to the next stage of the Champions League

SK Prometheus in a match of the second qualifying stage of volleyball that had already decided nothing Champions League beat the Bulgarian Neftekhimik – 3:1.

In the first set there was an equal fight for a long time, but the ending remained with the Ukrainians – 25:20. The second game was even easier for Prometheus – 25:17.

Neftekhimik managed to improve and take revenge in the third game. But the decisive set was again for Prometheus – 25:15.

The victory allowed the Ukrainian team to take third place in its qualifying quartet. Let us remind you that Prometheus previously suffered two defeats – from Arcade and Olympiacos – and lost his chances of reaching the next round of the Champions League ahead of schedule.

Now Prometheus will continue to compete in the second most important European Cup tournament – the CEV Cup. In the 1/16 finals, the Ukrainians will play with Lycurgus from the Netherlands.
