Rukh beat Chernomorets in a high-scoring shootout with an own goal, sending off and a penalty

Ponomarev’s team took advantage of the numerical advantage and snatched a strong-willed victory

In a bright shootout Chernomorets lost dramatically at home Ruhu within the 14th round Ukrainian Premier League – 2:3.

The Lviv team quickly opened the scoring through the efforts of Evgeniy Pastukh. Odessa equalized at the end of the half – the ball was recorded as a liability for Rukh defender Roman Didyk.

By the end of the hour, Chernomorets was already leading. But the turning point came midway through the second half, when Luka Hucek earned a straight red and Talles scored from the penalty spot.

Remaining in the majority, Rukh managed to convert the advantage. Guadeloupe national team player Ange-Freddy Pluman, who came on as a substitute, scored a magnificent long-range strike.

Having won, Rukh secured fifth place with 24 points. Chernomorets had 19 left, with the Sailors losing in three of the last four league matches.

After the international break, Rukh will play away against Dynamo, and Chernomorets, also away, will fight against Dnepr-1.
