Athletistic / Figure skating. Famous expert Elena Vaitsekhovskaya spoke about the judges’ scores that Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva received at the stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Kazan.

The figure skater was in the lead after the short program, but after the free program she took only fourth place. Subsequently, information appeared that Tutberidze’s team could file a protest against the arbitration.

“What is surprising about Kamila’s situation is that the Kazan referees could very well have ‘not noticed’ the loss of balance during the slide and, therefore, not given the athlete a second penalty point. The judges have had much more critical errors this season, but compared to Valieva, yes also in Kazan, it would seem much more natural than “-2” and the collapse of the second ranking as a result.

In this case there would certainly be no protest from anyone; the rules exclude it. As a result, Kamila with a second higher score could finish second behind Sonya Muravyova, which would seem quite normal and not humiliating.

Tarasova spoke about Valieva’s unsuccessful performance in the free program in Kazan

Admitting that Valieva’s judge’s assessments happened because the judges suddenly and unanimously became incredibly impartial is only possible in feverish delirium. It just doesn’t happen. They could, it seems to me, change the vector of their own perception only if they received clear instructions in this regard.

If this is the case, it means that Valieva ceased to be untouchable and was lowered to the ground. They abandoned him so harshly, it’s significant,” Vaitsekhovskaya wrote on her Telegram channel.
