Pasich, Shastal, Bogdanov and the defender that Dynamo is missing: the entire team of the 14th round of the Premier League

Sport Arena names the symbolic team of the next UPL round of the 2023/24 season, as well as the best in individual nominations, which are determined by our website for each round

On the website SportArena.com – teams of all rounds of the Ukrainian Premier League 2023/24. Who made it to the top 11 this time and won in individual categories?

Goalkeeper – Bogdan Kohut (Veres)

This season, the experienced Kogut has high-quality competition with Odessa Past, but at the same time, Bogdan is proving to the new coaching staff that he can be useful at the UPL level. In Alexandria, the local team had more possession of the ball, created more chances, and hit the target more often, but for a long time it was goalkeeper Kogut who kept the intrigue. He parried a penalty from Geovani, as well as dangerous shots from different positions from Pogorely, Shulyansky and Skorko. At one point, the stand protected Veres. It would have been very difficult for Bogdan to save Bezerra’s accurate shot, because the Brazilian blocked Shulyansky’s serve from a good position, from the hot zone in front of the goal.

EtcFirst defender – Alexander Timchik (Dynamo)

The right flank Timchik – Karavaev played at a high level in Krivoy Rog. Actually, both goals took place with the direct participation of these players. Timchik laid out a convenient pass to Vanat, who pushed through the defender and opened the scoring (this is not an assist, because the defender touched the ball), Karavaev scored after a magnificent throw to the touch of Shepelev. In general, the left flank with Dibango and Zaderaka in Krivbass is a formidable weapon, but in a difficult fight Dynamo won here.

TseCentral defender – Nikita Burda (Kolos)

While Dynamo does not know what to do with its central defense, and Zorya is approaching the bottom five in terms of goals conceded, Burda is fully rebooting his career in Kovalevka. In the match against Minaya, Nikita worked top-notch in defense, doing a lot to prevent the outsider from scoring at the Kolos Arena, and also connected to set pieces, helping to turn Bogdanov’s masterful corners into goals. In the episode with the first goal, Burda made minimal adjustments to the ball, so that Milko opened the scoring at the far post, and later completed the corner himself.

TseCentral defender – Eduard Sarapiy (SK Dnepr-1)

Once upon a time, Sarapia’s career in the UPL began with a Dynamo goal at the Lviv Arena, and now he scored against Shakhtar in the same “fort” gate. It was Eduard’s goal, successfully connected to Miroshnichenko’s corner, that turned the tide of the game just before the break. Subsequently, Sarapiy and Svatok played strongly in defense – thanks to well-calibrated actions with a small number of defects and errors, the defense of Dnepr-1 did not allow the Miners to regain their advantage in the score.

Lefirst defender – Denis Miroshnichenko (SK Dnepr-1)

Miroshnichenko played a difficult match against Zubkov using strong-willed qualities and dedication. He, like Sarapiy, Lednev and Svatok, played no better in the moment with the first goal of the match (Kryskiv sharpened the ball, the ball from Lednev bounced under Sikan’s shot). However, in the future, Denis diligently supported his team’s attacks and played diligently in defense. It was Miroshnichenko who earned the corner and took the corner from which Sarapiy equalized the score.

Tsecentral midfielder – Andrey Bogdanov (Kolos)

The experienced midfielder played a strong match against FC Minaj. Bogdanov himself shot at the Transcarpathian goal and took set pieces with his trademark precision and accuracy. It was after two corner kicks from different flanks by Andrei Milko and Burda that scored the decisive goals against the guests.

Etcair midfielder – Ilya Kvasnitsa (Rukh)

The bright Odessa match repeatedly turned the course of events upside down, but Kvasnitsa stood out against the background of this match. It was he who, in the opening of the match, gave a signature raid with an assist under the touch of Shepherd (the first goal of the confrontation), and then repeatedly escalated the game and was able to score himself.

EtcFirst attacking midfielder – Ibrahim Kane (Vorskla)

The trump card that the opponents did not have was Kane. Playing from the right flank, Ibra willingly moved to the center, changed zones with teammates, stretched and outplayed the Obolon defense. Actually, Kane was the brightest player in the capital match – he shot at the Kiev goal five times, three of which goalkeeper Kichak pulled in with spectacular jumps. It was Ibrahim who earned the penalty for Stepaniuk’s goal, making excellent use of the space and his own speed.

LeFirst attacking midfielder – Dmitry Shastal (Polesie)

Budkovsky’s injury posed difficult tasks for the coaching staff of the Zhytomyr club – Philip not only scored, but also provided constant support to the attack group due to discounts, won duels, and top goals. In this regard, it certainly cannot be replaced. However, Shastal, who successfully replaced Arielson in the match with Metalist 1925, made a decisive contribution to the strong-willed victory of Polesie. He scored himself and earned one of the most scandalous penalties on the tour. Dmitry proved that he should be an important option for his team – as a versatile, versatile and athletically cunning player.

Lefirst midfielder – Gennady Pasich (LNZ)

The Cherkasy team won a sensational away victory over the crisis-ridden Zorya, and left winger Pasich led the attacks of the UPL debutant club. It was Gennady who, in the opening of the match, closed Shestakov’s serve, and at the end of the match, as soon as the Lugansk team came back, he also reacted to Savin’s cross. Scoring two goals with a header is not Pasic’s natural style, but he looked convincing playing on the flank. In particular, he hit the post in the first half and the crossbar at the end of the game. The real hero of this victory is LNZ.

Onfalling – Vladislav Vanat (Dynamo)

The match against Krivbass made me think about how Vanat and Shakhtar were missing. The optional disqualification deprived Dynamo of a fairly effective weapon. With an early goal and a contraversive sending off, Vladislav actually broke one of the central matches of the tour, ensuring Shovkovsky’s first full victory at the head of Dynamo after Lucescu’s resignation. Already in the opening of the Krivoy Rog match, Vanat made a result. After an early goal, which he scored from a pass from Timchyk after awkward actions by the opponent, as well as the removal of Beskorovainy, Krivbass was deprived of its original game plan. One can argue about the penalty, but it is worth noting that Vladislav was ahead of his opponents and each of their contacts with the striker could have led to exactly the consequences that it did.

A vivid drama took place in Odessa/photo chornomorets.football.

Tour coach – Yuri Maksimov (SK Dnepr-1)

It’s incredible, but among the coaches who have played more than one match in this championship, Maksimov is in first place! 83.33% of possible points scored. Dnepr-1, under the leadership of the new head coach, won eight out of ten matches with only one defeat. Maksimov beat all of last season’s main competitors on the road – Shakhtar, Dynamo, Zorya. SK Dnepr-1 is the best based on the results of away matches and after a strong-willed 3:1 victory over the Miners, it single-handedly leads the standings!

Joker of the tour – Vasily Gritsuk (Polesie)

In the 63rd minute, the veteran replaced Kushnirenko and immediately threw an out to Makuan, whose pass from Shastal equalized the score. And at the end of the game, Gritsuk threw an amazing pass to Shastal, who earned a scandalous penalty. Remembering the misfire with the “panenko”, this time Vasily came out strong and brought victory to the Zhytomyr residents – a strong-willed victory over Metalist 1925.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 6 league matches, 2 goals, 1 assist.

Best young player of the tour – Artem Shulyansky (FC Alexandria)

The 22-year-old midfielder is certainly one of the leaders of the Rotan team. Veres didn’t stop Shulyansky – he earned a penalty, even though Geovani didn’t convert it, he could also score himself, and in the end he co-authored Bezerra’s winning goal. With each round, Artem gains confidence and becomes a stable player capable of making a difference at the UPL level.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 14 league matches, 2 goals, 2 assists.

Best foreign player of the tour – Joao Alvina Bezerra (FC Alexandria)

The Brazilian is still getting used to his new team, he played a total of 94 minutes for the Alexandrians, but he already has a surprisingly important achievement. The 20-year-old midfielder finished off a wonderful cross from Shulyansky and brought the team led by Rotan their first victory since August – after 11 winless and four goalless rounds!

  • Sport Arena statistics: 4 matches in the championship, 1 goal.

Best goal of the tour – Freddy Plumen (Rukh → Chernomorets)

Didyk made amends for the own goal by collecting the rebound and passing to Plumen, but Freddie gave it to Showtime! A crazy long-range dribble shot into the very top corner makes it tempting to send the prize for the best goal of the season in the Ukrainian Premier League 2023/24 to Guadeloupe even now, ahead of schedule.

Hero of the tour – Nikita Burda (Kolos)

The best player of this round was the footballer who scored himself and took part in the second goal in the match with FC Minaj.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 13 league matches, 1 goal, 1 assist.
