Daniil won in two sets

At the start of the group stage Final tournament ATP Finals-2023which takes place in Italian Turin, a duel between two “neutral” tennis players took place. In it Daniil Medvedev turned out to be stronger Andrey Rublev – 2:0.

Two sets and just over an hour and a half of time were enough for Daniil to win.

In the first game, the turning point happened when the score was 3:3, when Medvedev took a game on someone else’s serve. The tenth game consisted of 17 rallies, during which Rublev failed to convert four break points and ultimately lost.

The second set turned out much easier for Zverev – 6:2. The victory allowed him to lead Group B. Let us recall that earlier in the same quartet, Alexander Zverev achieved a strong-willed victory over Carlos Alcaraz.

In turn, the first round in Group A turned out well for Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic – they beat Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune, respectively.

The two best tennis players from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. The final tournament will end on November 19.
