Three-time Olympic champion, deputy of the State Duma of Russia Irina Rodnina called the dance duet of Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov one of the most beautiful couples in figure skating.
Earlier on Monday, the duo announced their retirement from the sport.
— In my opinion, the couple Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov were one of the most beautiful in Russian figure skating. Alas, unfortunately, for a long time they could not solve the problems of technical and psychological stability. However, what they showed at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing was some of the best and most beautiful skating, Rodnina told RT.
Tarasova and Morozov won silver at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in the team event and won silver at the 2022 Beijing Olympics in pair skating. The skaters also won two silver and one bronze medals at the world championships, and the duo won the European championship twice.
