The official announcement of the fight is expected within a week
A fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO titles Alexander Usik and WBC champion Tyson Fury are scheduled to take place on February 17.
The fight will take place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. An official announcement of the event is expected within a week.
The fight between Usik and Fury was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
The Ukrainian’s promoter Alexander Krasyuk said that the unification fight between Usik and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury will not take place on December 23 and will be held in early 2024. The reason for the transfer was the damage Fury suffered in his last fight with Ngannou.
