The Italian specialist is ready to sign a contract until the end of the season

The president Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis is in negotiations with Walter Mazzari regarding the post of head coach. The 62-year-old specialist is ready to sign a contract with Partnenopei until the end of the season.

Mazzari led Napoli from 2009 to 2013. The coach later worked at Inter, Watford, Torino and Cagliari.

Another candidate for the head coach position is Igor Tudor. The Croatian asks for a two-year contract and is awaiting a decision from the Napoli management.

It was previously reported that the Partnenopei are planning to fire head coach Rudi Garcia. The reigning champions of Italy have gained 21 points from 12 rounds of Serie A and are ten points behind leader Inter. In the Champions League, Napoli are in second place after four group stage games.

In the last round of the Italian Championship, the Partenopei lost to Empoli (0:1). The only goal in the match was scored by Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Kovalenko.

On November 25, Napoli will play against Atalanta in Serie A. Four days later, the Neapolitans will play the 5th round of the Champions League against Real Madrid.
