Athletistic/ Others. Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova commented on the call of the United States and 34 other countries of the world to exclude Russian sports departments from international sports organizations.
“I’m just in shock! Why are they doing this? Why? Our guys are the best. I wish them patience. They will get everything,” Tarasova said.
Previously, the United States and 34 other states signed a document on tougher sanctions against Russia and Belarus in world sport. The document proposes removing Russians and Belarusians from leadership positions in international federations and suspending television broadcasts of international competitions in these countries.
