Athletistic/Figure skating. Tatiana Tarasova, honored figure skating coach of the USSR, expressed her opinion regarding the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) call to national Olympic committees (NOCs) not to participate in the Friendship Games planned in Russia.
“In my opinion, it is regrettable and unacceptable to give recommendations regarding participation in competitions. The decision to participate is made individually. In my opinion, the IOC is too petty,” Tarasova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The Friendship Games are scheduled for September 15-29, 2024 and are expected to be held in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.
