FIFA is acting as a mediator interested in an amicable resolution of the situation
According to Turkish media reports, Tottenham reached an agreement with Miner regarding compensation for Solomon’s Manor.
Earlier, the Pitmen demanded that the English club pay 6.5 million euros for the transfer of the Israeli winger.
Let us remind you that Solomon moved to Tottenham as a free agent, signing an agreement until 2028. The football player’s agreement with the Ukrainian club expired on December 31, 2023. FIFA issued permission for early termination of the contract due to the war in Ukraine.
The clubs tried to come to an agreement regarding the situation with Solomon even during the organization of a charity match in support of the people of Ukraine, which took place in London on August 6.
Later, information appeared that the Donetsk club appealed to the European Court of Human Rights regarding compensation for the transfers of two foreign players – Solomon to Tottenham and Tete to Galatasaray.
In October, Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin confirmed the existence of negotiations and said that he expected an offer from the London side that would suit all parties.
According to current information, the conflict situation is close to being resolved through the direct mediation of FIFA. The Intercontinental Organization insisted that the parties sit down at the negotiating table and controls the process until Shakhtar accepts the London club’s proposal.
This case is directly related to the situation surrounding the Brazilian winger Tete, who moved from Shakhtar to Galatasaray under similar circumstances. In July, Turkish insiders reported the early termination of the contract, however, according to the Donetsk club, this act was illegitimate due to the fact that “Tete returned to Ukraine during the war.”
In August, it became known that Shakhtar filed a complaint with FIFA, demanding that Tete’s transfer to Galatasaray be canceled, as well as punish both the footballer and the Turkish club. In September, information appeared that Galatasaray would pay Shakhtar “a small amount” for the transfer of the Brazilian winger, but since then nothing has been known about the further development of the situation.
Manor Solomon has played six games for Tottenham this season and provided two assists. The Israeli has been out of action for a month and a half now due to a meniscus injury.
Tete (Mateus Cardoso Lemos Martins) has regular practice with the Istanbul giants – 16 matches in all tournaments, three effective actions (including a goal plus an assist in the first round of the Champions League against Copenhagen).
