Athletistic/ Others. Russian runner Svetlana Aplachkina has reacted to news of a cockroach found on a plate of food in the canteen of the training center in Novogorsk, Moscow region. This is where Russian track and field athletes train.

“Today I learned that at a meeting in Novogorsk one of the girls had a cockroach on her plate. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. I had already heard that the food there was horrible, that’s why I never went there. But the food was seasoned with cockroaches…” Aplachkina wrote on her Telegram channel.

Russian pole vault champion Polina Knoroz posted a video of a cockroach on a plate on her social media page. Interestingly, this video was later deleted, but it managed to migrate to many public sports-related pages.
