Averbukh: “I am glad that we managed to realize the idea of building an ice palace in Crimea”

Figure skating choreographer Ilya Averbukh said his winter sports school in Crimea already had success in hockey.

The Heritage winter sports school opened its doors 2 years ago in Yevpatoria. Averbukh is the head of the educational institution.

— It’s a big part of my life to be Crimean ambassador. Crimea is not just a beautiful land, it is, first of all, people who completely and completely love their region and their land, are ready to fight and defend it, make it better and more beautiful. Crimea is a pearl and it shines in different facets.

I’m glad I was able to implement this idea [постройки ледового дворца]. There are already results, particularly in sports. Our flagships are hockey players, not yet figure skaters.

I have a wonderful team helping me, led by the Minister of Sports, who covers me on legal matters. There are many common problems.

We all understand how difficult it is to build today, especially in Crimea. At the same time, the leadership of the republic and the Ministry of Sports are not waiting, the country is developing, sports facilities are being built,” reports correspondent, reporting Averbukh’s words.
