Russian figure skater Vladislav Dikidji said he was admired by the performances of American Olympic champion and three-time world champion Nathan Chen.
Dikidzhi became the winner of the fourth stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Kazan.
— A few years ago you said in an interview that your idol was Andrei Mozalev. Has your favorite skateboarder changed now?
– It is clear that I responded then as a joke. In all seriousness, I recently rewatched Chen’s speech. I really liked the way he skated. I admire this man. He performs a program of five quadruples, then some hip-hop dances… And he ends the show with a smile on his face! It was like he wasn’t even tired. Even though I jumped a lot, I skated so much. I have to strive to reach that level,” Sport24 quoted Dikiji as saying.
Chen won gold at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and also has Olympic silver and bronze.
