The Briton and the Ukrainian will fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion on February 17
WBC title holder Tyson Fury I am confident that he can defeat the world champion according to WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO versions Alexandra Usika and become the absolute heavyweight champion.
“Usik, you can run, but the Gypsy King is coming after you. This is my era, and your time is up. Your undefeated record and your belts – they will be mine! – Fury said.
“Thank you to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and His Excellency Turki Al Al Sheikh for bringing this title fight to the beautiful kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I had a great time here fighting Ngannou and I’m ready to do it again. This time the Gypsy King will return to England as the undisputed king of the heavyweights.”
The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Initially, the fight between Usik and Fury was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
