“I can’t feel the screws, they’re inside the bone.” Ablyazin on health, age and the will to perform in Paris

Olympic gymnastics champion Denis Ablyazin told how he returned to competition and how good he feels.

Ablyazin will take part in the Russian Cup in Kaluga, where he will do two types – exercises on the rings and the jump. The athlete missed the national championship in April due to a leg problem.

– In Tokyo, they played with iron in the legs, is everything okay now?

– It stays in the legs. The screws won’t come out,” Ablyazin told .

Will you be with them for the rest of your life?

– When I’m bored, I’ll have it. I’ll sign up for surgery, they’ll take it down. I can’t feel them, they’re inside the bone. There was normal strengthening of the bone, it’s just that the left leg broke in half then and it’s very sad (laughs), the right leg was only half, it was just a reinforcement of the bone.

– Were we afraid of overloading the leg after injuries?

– Not. I immediately threw it out of my head, even after the operation.

– The right shoulder is taped.

– So shoulder, it hurts from age. I’ll be 30 in a month.

– And on the left traces of medical jars, does that help?

– Yes, it works very well, any microtrauma passes at once.

– How long are you going to play?

– Before Paris, we will prepare, perform, and after we will see how it will go with health. All the athletes say they will finish after the Olympics, but they continue anyway. It is very difficult to leave the sport when he gave so many years of his life.
