Fury: I’m the only one standing in Usyk’s path to dominance

The “Gypsy King” is confident of his victory over the Ukrainian champion

WBC title holder Tyson Fury stated that he is the only obstacle to the world champion according to WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO Alexandra Usikafor the Ukrainian to dominate the heavyweight division.

“Only I stand in his way to total domination in Europe. He beat all the British guys – Chisora, Joshua, Dubois – and it was just me left.”

“I’m the most fearless in its waters, let’s put it that way. He’ll have to pull out the long-range guns, but we’ll see. If he beats me, and he doesn’t, then nothing will stop him from being completely dominant. He can’t beat me because I’m the ‘Gypsy King’ – that’s enough.”

“Just a month ago it was a bad time to be a heavyweight, I’m the reason all these fights are happening. Now I’m like a promoter. I’m promoting the entire heavyweight division. They all work for me now,” Fury said.

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after meeting with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
