Ukrainian cyclist Yakovlev moved to the Belgian team Lotto Dstny

The 18-year-old will spend the next season in the Lotto youth division

Ukrainian cyclist Daniil Yakovlev moved to the Belgian team Lotto Dstny.

Daniil will play for the youth division in 2024 – Lotto Dstny Development Team. The Belgian team, having signed the Ukrainian, completed its roster. Yakovlev spent the previous season in the youth team Cannibal – Victorious U19.

In 2023, Yakovlev won two victories at youth competitions at the continental and national levels. The Ukrainian also became the world champion in omnium at the 2023 Youth World Championships, which took place in Cali, Colombia.

Lotto Dstny competes in the Pro division, the second strongest in the structure of world professional cycling. The Lotto youth team will be able to take part in continental level races.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian cyclist Andrey Ponomar moved to the Italian team Team Corratec. Andrey played for the French Team Arkea Samsic, but in the summer he arranged a transfer to Italy for family reasons.
