Alexander Gorshkov died early, the Russian Figure Skating Federation does not have such a worthy leader, the former Minister of Sports of Russia told Pavel Kolobkov .
Gorshkov died on November 17, 2022 at the age of 76; he led the organization from 2010 until his death.
“I remembered him recently, a true professional, a great athlete. I lived in sports all my life, it was convenient and comfortable to work with him, there was perfect mutual understanding. His opinion and advice were important. It’s a shame that he died prematurely. He managed to lead a complex federation with dignity. We miss him a lot,” Kolobkov told .
