Vanat opened the scoring, Voloshin had a goal and two assists
Ukraine U-21 national team beat with a big score Luxembourg in qualification European Youth Championship 2025 – 4:0.
The match, formally a home match for Unai Melgosa’s team, took place in the coach’s homeland – Murcia, Spain.
Luxemburg held out for quite a long time, but towards the end of the first half there was a high-quality attack with a well-calibrated pass from Arseniy Batagov and a cross pass from Nazar Voloshin to an empty net to teammate Vladislav Vanat.
In the second half, the score was doubled by Batagov himself, who successfully cleared someone else’s penalty area from a set piece. The opponent finally came to his senses, and after a couple of minutes the score became big – it was Voloshin who succeeded in his long-range low shot.
Let us note that from the very beginning of the second half, Luxembourg played in the minority – Ryan Burbury received the second yellow for a flagrant foul against Vladimir Brazhko.
Voloshin subsequently chalked up another effective action – the Dynamo winger conveniently threw the ball to Vanat’s replacement, Igor Krasnopir.
Having won their fourth victory in four matches, the Ukrainian youth team is confidently leading in qualifying group F. On November 21, also in Murcia, Ukraine will host Azerbaijan.
