“I play Salchow better than Lutz” – figure skater Gumennik

Figure skater Pierre Gumennik said which element it would perform better than the others.

According to the results of the short program of the Russian Grand Prix stage in Samara, Gumennik took first place with 100.79 points. The second was Roman Savosin from Moscow (94.66), the leading trio was completed by another Muscovite Alexey Erokhov (90.69).

— A week before the start, I started training two versions of the program. During the morning practice session, I wasn’t sure what to skate. There were arguments in favor of Lutz and Salchow. The coach said let’s do the Salchow. Lutz is in good condition now, Salchow is just better. I went on stage in Samara with the determination to show everything I had trained for.

— It seemed that your music was softer than the others.

— The music was at a normal volume. “During training, I got used to moderating the volume,” reports a correspondent, reports Gumennik’s words.

Later on Saturday, as part of the Grand Prix stage in Samara, women will present short programs, and rhythm dancing will also be presented by dance duets.
