The legendary Faker won Worlds for the fourth time in his career
South Korean team T1 became the winner of the main tournament of the year League of Legends — World Championship 2023 (Worlds 2023).
In the grand finals T1 met with the Chinese organization Weibo Gaming and achieved a confident victory with a score of 3:0. For its triumph at Worlds 2023, T1 earned $445 thousand. Weibo Gaming received $333,750.
T1 became the World Championship champion for the fourth time in history. The organization won the tournament in 2013, 2015 and 2016 under the names SK Telecom T1 K and SK Telecom T1.
Legendary player T1 Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk won the Worlds for the fourth time in his career.
Worlds 2023 took place from October 10 to November 19 in South Korea. 22 teams took part in the LoL tournament, the prize fund was $2,225,000.
The 2024 World Championship will take place next autumn at the O2 Arena in London.
