The International Equestrian Federation FEI has decided to admit Russians and Belarusians in neutral status. This happened during the FIB General Assembly in Mexico.
– The FEI Executive Committee authorized Russian and Belarusian athletes, officials and horses to participate in competitions under neutral status. The conditions and timetable for implementing this decision will be proposed for approval by the FEI Executive Committee during a teleconference in December 2023, according to the Russian Equestrian Federation website.
Recall that in 2022, many Russian athletes were suspended from participating in international competitions. However, in March 2023, IOC President Thomas Bach recommended allowing Russians neutral status under certain conditions.
