Athletistic/ Figure skating. Last week the fifth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix took place. It happened in Samara. Particular attention was paid to men’s singles skating. After all, Pyotr Gumennik, who won the Russian Grand Prix final last season, was announced for this stage. His opponents were also very interesting.

Pyotr Gumennik confidently took the lead in the short program, scoring 100.79 points. The second was Roman Savosin, who this season has already proven himself at the Russian Grand Prix in Ufa. His rental was rated at 94.66 points. Alexey Erokhov closed the top three. The judges awarded him 90.66 points.

In the free program, Piotr Gumennik also confirmed his high level. He achieved the best result and finally took first place with 300.66 points. Roman Savosin also confirmed the money. In total, he received 288.46 for two rentals. But the fight for the bronze medal was serious. Finally, Alexander Samarin took third place. His performance was evaluated at 263.21 points.

At the same time, Samarin achieved the fourth result in both programs. However, Alexey Erokhov, third after the short program, became only tenth in the free program, and Andrei Mozalev, who was successful in the free program, finished only seventh after the short program. Samarin therefore managed to win bronze.
