Efimova reached the final in the 50-meter breaststroke, posting a result of 29.86 seconds in the semifinals. The best time was achieved by Belarusian athlete Alina Zmushko (29.80). Efimova shares second place with Evgenia Chikunova (29.86).
— How did you come up with the idea of going to the start wearing a Spartak football jersey?
– Since we are friends, that’s how it happened, so I decided to support the Spartak team and go to the start in their T-shirt. I’m happy, my last name is there, my favorite number, and it’s “Spartak”. This is how they decided.
