Winger Shakhtar Eguinaldo was injured in a test match with Rukh (1:3). The head coach of the Miners, Marino Pusic, spoke about this.
“It was a very nasty foul – from behind, without the intention of touching the ball. It is very dangerous. In my opinion there should be a red card here. This case was not the first, there were many like this. I didn’t like it, because of this hit from behind we lost one player. I wanted to tell the referee that this is no way to play the game. Eguinaldo is injured and out. We don’t know for how long,” Pusic said.
The 19-year-old winger moved to Shakhtar from Vasco da Gama, signing a five-year contract until the end of June 2028. The Brazilian has played six matches for the Miners this season.
Shakhtar is in fourth place in the UPL with 24 points. In the next match, Marino Pusic’s team will play against Polesie on November 24.
