Two qualifying matches will take place in mid-March 2024
The opponent has become known Ukrainian men’s team in the first phase of the second round of the European qualifying playoffs World Handball Championship 2025. It became the national team Estonia.
Two play-off matches will take place on March 13-14 and 16-17, 2024. If Ukraine wins this two-legged clash, it will advance to the second phase of the second stage of World Cup qualifying. The four winners of the first phase will take part in it, as well as 18 teams from the 2024 European Championship, which will take place in January.
The two-legged matches of the 2nd stage of the qualifying playoffs will take place in May 2024. The winners will receive tickets to the 2025 World Cup.
Let us remind you that in early November the Ukrainian handball team took part in a friendly tournament in the Swedish city of Eskilstuna. On it, Vadim Brazhnik’s team lost all three matches – to the current European champions, the Swedish team (26:46), the double team of Norway (29:35) and the reserve team of Sweden (26:34).
This tournament became the first stage of preparation for the qualifying matches for the 2025 World Cup for the blue-yellows.
